What happens to a surrendered dream or some unwanted part of yourself once it’s been abandoned? Is it really gone? Or does it live on, unknown to us, in another aspect of reality most people never see? Those are the basic questions behind Fragments of Mira, where a young woman named Mira is called by that hidden world – and her forgotten self.
I originally planned on an animated series called Children of the Dreaming Mother. (More on the evolution of that into Fragments here. Note the name’s changed since then.) But while I was writing the script, I kept getting distracted by the thought that 1)it would probably make a good game 2)I’d been thinking of designing some sort of major(ish) game for a while, and it seemed like a shame to have to think of yet another story when I had a perfectly serviceable one sitting right in front of me. So, finally, I gave in. It’s going to be a game.
This sub-site is where I’ll post stuff about it, plus reposting things to the Tumblr.
In the meantime, please feel free to check out Dreaming You. It’s set in the same world, and some of the characters who show up there might make cameos.
