New Stuff: “Pixie Ponders” and “Chellevira’s Diary” (02.15.2012)

Hi, everyone! There are a couple of new additions to the site: Pixie Ponders and Chellevira’s Diary. The former is basically vlog type thing where I talk about stuff in the gaming world; the latter is a chance for my naughty alter-ego to share her thoughts on the darker side of gaming: villains, dark themes, that sort of thing. I had a lot of fun making the first episode (which, frankly, turned out… well… sexier than would’ve I expected it to), and I hope that you’ll have fun watching it.

My first Pixie Ponders is about the controversial new Devil May Cry game in the works, DmC. What are my thoughts on the whole affair? You can watch it here.

My first Chellevira’s Diary is about Pyramid Head, the terrifying antagonist who first appeared in Silent Hill 2. Chellevira has an interesting take on him and his… uh… “hobbies.” Check it out here, and I do hope people like it because I really enjoy this role. :}

Hi, everyone! Due to some technical issues, I wasn’t able to do a Christmas review, but happily, I got things sorted out and will use the game I would’ve covered for my first review of 2012. The original script was basically a sentimental look back on a game that meant a lot to me when I was a kid — sort of like what I did with Metroid. But now, I’m reworking it into something a bit… flashier. I’ll clue you in on what it is after I get back from MAGFest and hopefully have the review itself up within a week after that.

Oh, yeah: unless something weird happens, I’m going to MAGFest this year. ^^ If I’m offline for the next several days, now you know why. I’ll be back on Monday.

More Than A “Review” (11.29.2011)

I know some people were confused or disappointed by my video for Silent Hill 2. I kind of expected that. It isn’t cute. It isn’t fluff. And it isn’t campy. Neither is it a standard review: hence the “Gaiden” (“side story”) label and a description stating that it’s closer to a fan film. Heck, despite the fictional setting, I’m not even playing a character. There’s more “me” in this video than there probably is my vlogs. But it IS exactly what I wanted it to be, and maybe I should reveal a little of just what that means. (more…)

More Fan Art! And my next review…. (11.16.2011)

First off, the fan art! My gallery is actually starting to look like a gallery now! Two new pieces by artist Dicky Moe have been added today. Check the gallery to see them. They’re the last two on the right.

Second, the review. I’m sorry it’s taking so long, but it’s turning into something… kind of unexpected. Hopefully, the end result (which should be up by next Tuesday sometime during Thanksgiving weekend… sorry about that) will be worth the wait.

Hi, everyone! Just to let you know, my very belated Halloween review should be up either at the end of this week or sometime early next week. Since it’s going to be late anyway, I might as well go all out. :p
