UGH!

I finally got my review edited and stuff, but when it came time to post it, it seems like everything that could’ve gone wrong did.  First, I learned the hard way that Windows Movie Maker has issues with clips that are too short.  Namely, it won’t render them in the final video.  I spent what felt like an age re-cutting original pieces of video and splicing them together into a clip that was long enough for Movie Maker not to puke it up.

Then, I noticed AFTER I had converted the whole review to an AVI file that there was a problem with the credits.  Over an hour down the drain.

Then, there were issues with slicing the video.  Several more minutes testing and re-testing to make sure VirtualDub had actually cut it where it was supposed to.

Then, I tried uploading my videos to Blip.tv.  My Internet connection crapped out for almost an hour — halfway through the upload.  Once I was online again, I had to start over.

Finally — FINALLY! — I had my videos online… but the playlist wasn’t working right. So, I tried deleting the videos from the playlist so I could put them in the right order.  But since I was getting tired and all the links were blurring together — you guessed it — I accidentally removed the original files instead of the playlist listings.

All that work, and my uploads are gone. I’m so sick of this. Please, God, let tomorrow be better.
